	Two of Colgate-Palmolive Philippines’ former general managers, Messrs. William M. Pearce and James H. Carpenter, were taken prisoners of war (POWs) during World War II. Mr. Pearce was confined in Nueva Ecija while Mr. Carpenter was taken to the concentration camp at the University of Sto. Tomas.
